Welcome to Social Travel Connections These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use and participation of Single Parent Adventures' services and experiences. Please be sure read them carefully.

Changes to Terms 

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of the services after any changes signifies your acceptance of the new terms. 

User Responsibilities  

Provide accurate and complete information.  Use the services only for lawful purposes. Do not engage in any activity that could harm the services or other users. 

Tour Bookings and Responsibilities 

Social Travel Connections organizes and manages organised group tours by collaborating with third-party services and local suppliers. We act as an agent for these providers and do not make any warranties or representations regarding the standard of their services. All bookings are made on your behalf and are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the respective service providers. 

Accommodation  

Social Travel Connections will select the hotels for the tour. Prior to departure, we will provide you with the hotel information, including the name, location, and contact details. We reserve the right to make changes to the accommodation arrangements if necessary. This may include substituting hotels or altering room assignments due to unforeseen circumstances. We will inform you of any changes as soon as possible.

Participants can choose between shared or single rooms. If you prefer to share a room, we will do our best to match you with a compatible roommate. If no preference is expressed, room assignments will be made at our discretion. If a single room is assigned due to a roommate's cancellation or incompatibility, the participant will be responsible for the additional cost of the single room.

Pricing 

Prices are clearly stated in each package. Any items not listed as inclusions are assumed to be excluded. All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice. Please note that prices quoted here are subject to change. In the case of extreme currency fluctuations, we will do our best to absorb any increases but may need to pass some on. Price changes may occur due to factors outside our control, such as adverse currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, and taxes.

Some group travel itineraries require a minimum number of participants to operate. If the minimum number is not met, you will be given the option to proceed at revised costs, receive a refund, or transfer your funds to another tour.

Payment Terms 

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on the tour, with the final balance due a specified number of days prior to the tour departure date. Payment amounts may vary depending on the requirements and the terms and conditions of the travel providers, as well as the time of booking. The specific deposit amount will be outlined at the time of quotation. Services and spaces on the tour are not confirmed until the deposit has been received and a confirmation notice has been issued.

Payments can be made via Direct Deposit or Credit Card, which may incur additional fees. Please note that currency exchange rates can fluctuate, which may affect the final cost of your booking if payments are made in a different currency. We recommend checking current exchange rates and considering potential variations when planning your payments.

Changes and cancellations

Changes and Cancellations to bookings must be notified to Social Travel Connections in writing as soon as possible.  Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs and fees. In the event that "YOU" need to cancel your travel arrangements,  Cancellation fees may vary depending on the time of cancellation and the terms of the travel providers up to 100%. nay money owing will be refunded once all monies have been returned to Social Travel Connections. 

Force Majeure 

 “Force majeure” means, in relation to our agency, in any circumstances beyond our reasonable control, (including, but without limitation, to acts of God, explosion, flood, forceful wind, fire or accident, war or threat of war declared or undeclared, acts of terrorism, sabotage, insurrection, riots, strikes, civil disturbance, sickness, epidemics, pandemics, quarantines, government intervention, weather conditions, defects in machinery and vehicles, delays or other unforeseeable event), we shall not be deemed to be in breach of these terms and conditions or otherwise be liable to you, and shall not provide any refund, by reason of delay in performance, or by non-performance, of any of our obligations hereunder to the extent that any such delay or non-performance is due to any force majeure. If our agency, and/or any of our travel suppliers, are affected by force majeure, they shall be entitled to, and may in their sole and absolute discretion, vary or cancel any itinerary or arrangement in relation to your trip.” 

Refunds 

Refunds due to you will be processed via direct debit as soon as all monies have been recouped from all suppliers. Certain items, such as non-refundable deposits, travel insurance, and credit card fees, are not eligible for refunds.

Limitation of Liability 

Social Travel Connections, it's sub groups,  Admin or Moderators of Social Groups will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or third party providers.  In situations where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the value of the purchased event, service or travel arrangements. We are not liable for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense, or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other event beyond our control that could not have been prevented with reasonable diligence on our part. 

Acknowledgement of risk 

By participating in travel services and organised tours of Social Travel Connections and it's sub groups, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily engaging in the events described by the group organiser. You understand that your participation may expose you to hazards and risks, which could result in injury, illness, or death, as well as loss of or damage to your property. 

Passports and Visas

You are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas and ensuring your passports, visas, and re-entry permits are valid and up-to-date. Any fines or expenses due to non-compliance are your responsibility. For international travel, your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. While we provide information and guidance on visa requirements, we are not liable for any issues that arise. If you need information about visa and travel document requirements, please let us know. 

Travel Insurance 

Travel insurance is mandatory for all Social Travel Connections trips. It is your responsibility to ensure that your travel insurance includes comprehensive medical and emergency evacuation coverage. You should obtain and review a Product Disclosure Statement related to the insurance product before making any decisions about purchasing it. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade strongly recommends travel insurance for all international travel. We regret that we cannot accept any guests who do not have travel insurance. Governing Law 

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. 

Disclosure of Income

Social Travel Connections may receive fees, commissions, gifts, or financial incentives from third parties in the operation of the travel business and the agent services provided for the customer.

Acceptance of Terms 

 “By booking your arrangement with Social Travel Connections, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this agreement and any additional terms and conditions of any supplier that are applicable to your booking arrangements. The lead passenger assumes the responsibility of sharing these terms and conditions with each passenger in their group, including payment of all amounts when due. It is the responsibility of each passenger to read our terms and conditions in its entirety. In addition, we reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions.”

You acknowledge that you have considered the risks and have read and understood the above requirements. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.
